A sealing ring, also known as a bronze gasket, is a type of annular sealing element with a gap. It is placed in the groove of the sleeve, and the sleeve rotates with the shaft. The sealing ring is pressed against the inner hole wall of the stationary part by the elasticity of the gap, which can play a sealing role. Each contact surface needs to be hardened and polished. The sealing ring is made of wear-resistant cast iron containing chromium, which can be used for sliding speeds less than 100m/s; If the sliding speed is within the range of 60-80m/s, the sealing ring can also be made of tin bronze.

A sealing ring is a metal circular ring (also known as a mouth ring) installed on the pump casing at the inlet of the impeller. Its function is to prevent abrasion between the impeller and the pump casing, and it can be in the form of a straight or end face sealing type. The advantage of the end face sealing type is that the leaked water flows out radially, which improves the water flow state at the inlet of the water pump and improves the efficiency of the water pump compared to the straight type flowing out axially.
